Zosia & Michał
June 2019
Zosia and Michal's wedding was extraordinary, unusual and planned in every way. The wedding ceremony took place in the beautiful Wawel Cathedral Chapel, or rather in the Archcathedral Basilica of St. Stanislaus and St. Wenceslas. The church is located on the Wawel Hill, which is the property of the Archdiocese of Cracow and is the place of coronation of the kings of Poland and their burials. The interior of the Basilica is so beautiful! Frankly speaking, taking pictures there is not the easiest one, mainly due to the slightly different plan of the cathedral. In the main nave between the main entrance and the altar, there is the Confession of St. Stanislaus, which the couple had to omit when they were entering and leaving the church. In addition, the ceremony took place in the presbytery behind the altar, which was separated, raised and it was far away from me - this required taking an additional telephoto zoom lens. A week before the wedding, together with Zosia and Michał, I went to the church for rehearsal and thanks to that I knew exactly what would happen step by step and where and how I could move. I was most impressed by the sacristy, where the couple signed documents and the Baroque main altar made of gilded wood. The choir, of which Zosia is a part, took care of a beautiful and moving musical setting during the mass. After the ceremony, we went close to the Vistula River, where a barge was waiting for us. During the one-hour-long cruise, everyone wished the wedding couple all the best and admired Cracow from a completely different perspective. After an hour we arrived at the place of the party - to a barge moored in the very center of Kazimierz - Augusta barge. There were waiting for our delicious food, sweets, and dances Just before sunset we sneaked out for a short photo walk around Kazimierz. Photo session during the wedding is a great idea if you only have enough time for it. You can distance yourself for a while, relax and receive some good photos. Around the blue hour, I managed to take some aerial shots of all guests who were on the barge. It was a very interesting idea for an unusual group photo. I invite you to see this!
